Automatic Debagging / Bag Emptying Machine

Automatic Debagging / Bag Emptying Machines

Efficient Unloading for 10–80kg Bagged Materials

Debagging machines (also known as bag emptying machines) automatically grab bagged materials, cut the bags, and discharge the contents. Compared to manual bag dumping stations, debagging machines are significantly safer and more efficient, boasting a bag emptying rate of up to 99.95%. Debagging machines can effectively reduce labor costs.

VPEKS offers three types of debagging machines compatible with various processing equipment and production lines. We can provide customized, complete debagging and discharge packaging solutions tailored specifically to your operational requirements.

We offer three types of bag emptying machines for you

Column Roboto Bag Emptying Machine

Working principle:

The column robotic arm automatically identifies and grips the bag, moving it to the hopper for cutting. The materials inside the bag are then discharged into the hopper or container. At the same time, an automated vibration tool at the end of the robotic arm ensures that all raw materials are fully emptied. Once unloading is complete, the empty bag is moved to a designated area for collection.

Main Parameters:

• Model: VPK-LZ50/150                  • Capacity: 120 Bags per hour

• Maximum bag weight: 80 kg       •Air supply pressure: 0.5-0.8MPa
More Specifications

Structure:

01. Column Robot Body

The main body is made of powder-coated Q235 carbon steel, ensuring a corrosion-resistant and robust structure.

Integrated with servo motors and high-precision RV/planetary reducers to ensure millimeter-level accuracy.

The optimized axial design covers a large working radius to meet heavy-duty gripping needs.

02. Specialized Gripper

A custom-designed gripper constructed from aluminum alloy and 304 stainless steel. It utilizes servo motors and pneumatic devices to precisely control gripping force, ensuring stable handling of material bags.

03. Control System

Features a powder-coated Q235 carbon steel enclosure and supports EtherCAT bus for millisecond-level response.

The teach pendant provides an operating interface in Chinese, English, and Korean.

Uses premium electrical components (e.g., Schneider) to ensure stability and reduce downtime risks.

04. Hopper with cutting knife

The inlet integrates cutting blades for automatic material discharge into downstream conveying equipment.

Hopper specifications can be customized based on material volume.

05. 3D Vision Recognition System (Optional)

Identifies material height and offset angles in real-time.

Enables precise gripping even with irregular stacking or varying layer counts, enhancing operational flexibility.

Layer By Layer Bag Emptying Machine

Working principle:

The layer debagging machine utilizes a specialized gripping head to extract bags from pallets layer by layer, transporting them smoothly to cutting knives for opening. Once the material is discharged into a hopper or collection device, the empty bags are cleared and transported out of the system via a screw conveyor. The machine can be integrated with an automatic pallet feeding device, enabling a fully automated, closed-loop operation—from full-layer depalletizing to residual bag disposal.

Main Parameters:

• Model: VPK-CBJ                  • Capacity: 600-800 Bags per hour

• Power: 7.5kW                       • Air supply pressure: 0.5-0.8MPa
More Specifications

Structure:

1. Lifting & Positioning System

The lifting mechanism drives the gripper head for vertical displacement, automatically sensing and precisely aligning with the height of each material layer.

2. Layer Gripping Mechanism

Utilizing specialized pneumatic claws or telescopic needle mechanisms, the system stably grips an entire layer (typically 5-10 bags) in a single cycle.

3. Traversing Device

Once gripping is complete, the traversing unit smoothly moves the entire layer horizontally to the cutting station, ensuring a highly efficient and continuous work cycle.

4. High-Speed Cutting Unit

Equipped with high-speed rotating circular blades, it performs precise slitting of the entire layer of bags at a predetermined position.

5. Discharge System

Materials are discharged through the outlet into the hopper or collection device below; integrated with a high-frequency vibration mechanism, it ensures thorough unloading with zero residue.

6. Bag Compactor

After the material is fully discharged, empty bags are compressed by a screw compaction mechanism and automatically ejected, significantly reducing waste volume for easier recycling.

7. PLC Control System

Integrating a PLC hardware system and an HMI touch screen enables fully automated unloading operations and real-time monitoring.

8. Optional Automation Modules

Additional pallet roller conveyors and automatic pallet collection magazines can be added to achieve a fully unmanned process from pallet feeding and debagging to empty pallet recovery.

Robotic Arm Bag Emptying Machine

Working principle:

The robotic debagging machine picks bags from the conveyor using claws. The bag is then moved to the cutter, and the gripper pushes it forward for cutting. When the robot moves to the correct position, the air cylinders on the gripper cause it to shake, allowing the contents to fall out completely.

Main Parameters:

• Model: IRB 660-180                         • Capacity: 180-220 Bags per hour

• Maximum bag weight: 180 kg       •Air supply pressure: 0.5-0.8 MPa
More Specifications

Structure:

1. Industrial Robot Body

The core power unit of the system, available with optional ABB or ESTUN industrial robots. Featuring high degrees of freedom and repetitive positioning accuracy, the robotic arm handles flexible gripping and transfer tasks within the workspace.

2. Specialized Gripper

Custom-designed gripper constructed from aluminum alloy and 304 stainless steel. It utilizes servo motors and pneumatic devices to precisely control gripping force, ensuring stable handling of material bags.

3. Steel Foundation & Safety Protection

The robotic arm is mounted on a robust steel foundation to prevent vibrations during high-speed operation.

4. Hopper with cutting knife
